22 Mar 2026 Repower Festival Expo- BBQ stall Mar 22, 2026 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Rotary Lilydale have been asked to man a Stall at the Expo selling egg and bacon, sausages and drinks. we will be fundraising. volunteers required Personal: - Project Lead, Setup. Cook. Servers. Purchasers. Money handlers. As per roster will be out shortly . And RCL BBQ and Marque the expo is about The idea of the group, and the festival, is to assist residents of the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley region to understand more about sustainable living and how that can be applied to reducing day to day living costs and thus helping the environment. So, things like sustainable building methods, solar power, recycling, batteries, EV’s, etc. are all part of the festival, along with food, entertainment, school displays/competitions, etc. We have a guest speaker program running, trade expert displays, etc. Many of the local schools will be involved…. It’s very much a local community event that the Yarra Ranges council are backing us with. They’re heavily involved in helping us organize it all.

We will be presenting a cheque to the Templestowe and Yarra Valley Auxiliary of the Royal Children's Hospital. Also, a donation to other organisations involved. Hi everyone, Sorry for the short notice, but I wanted to get this out as soon as possible rather than delay it. As part of our plans for this Rotary year, I'm excited to launch the Community Action Group for the Rotary Club of Lilydale. The purpose of this group is to explore how our club can become even more connected with and make a greater impact in our local community. We'll discuss opportunities, identify community needs, build partnerships, and develop new ideas for projects and activities. This is your club, and I genuinely want everyone's ideas and input. Whether you've been a Rotarian for many years or have recently joined, your perspective is valuable. Our first meeting will be: 📅 Tuesday, 7 July 🕡 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm 📍 Lilydale RSL Like all our meetings, this will be a hybrid meeting, so if you can't attend in person, you can join using the usual meeting link. After the meeting, anyone who would like to is invited to join us for a fellowship dinner at The Lilydale International. Going forward, the Community Action Group will meet on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Meetings will continue to be hybrid, with in-person meetings held at the Lilydale RSL, followed by an informal fellowship dinner for those attending. This first meeting will be a planning session. I'll have a simple agenda to keep us focused and ensure we finish on time, so we can enjoy dinner together afterwards. I hope as many of you as possible can join us as we start shaping how Rotary Club of Lilydale can make an even greater difference in our community.

In this presentation, Samantha will share the story of Mercy Ships, the work being carried out onboard the world’s largest civilian hospital ships, and the extraordinary impact of volunteer medical professionals, crew and supporters from around the world. Through patient stories, video and real-life examples, the presentation offers an inspiring insight into how Mercy Ships is restoring health, dignity and hope. Speaker bio Samantha Clarke is the Victorian Ambassador for Mercy Ships Australia. With a background in community engagement, membership, events and donor relations, Samantha is passionate about connecting people with meaningful causes and sharing stories that inspire action. In her role with Mercy Ships, Samantha works with communities, donors and supporters across Victoria to raise awareness of the life changing work being carried out onboard Mercy Ships hospital ships. Samantha very much looks forward to meeting our members and sharing more about the work of Mercy Ships.
