10 Feb 2026 RCL - General Meeting - Guest Speaker: Naqib Sarwa Feb 10, 2026 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm Our guest speakers topic will be - Amnesty International - “Human Rights in Times of Conflict: What Peacebuilding Looks Like in 2026 Members and guests are welcome to attend this meeting in person or online via Zoom. A short Bio of our Guest speaker: Naqib Sarwary is the Philanthropy Specialist at Amnesty International Australia. Deeply passionate about human rights, Naqib has been raising funds for the human rights movement for more than seven years in the US, Canada, and Australia. Identifying as a global citizen, Naqib fled Afghanistan as a refugee in 2017. Since then he has been an advocate of human rights raising money and awareness on various platforms about the rights of refugees and the need for better access to education in his homeland, Afghanistan. Naqib is also the founder of Camp Afghanistan - a volunteer-run initiative preparing Afghan high school students for international education opportunities.

22 Mar 2026 Repower Festival Expo- BBQ stall Mar 22, 2026 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Rotary Lilydale have been asked to man a Stall at the Expo selling egg and bacon, sausages and drinks. we will be fundraising. volunteers required Personal: - Project Lead, Setup. Cook. Servers. Purchasers. Money handlers. As per roster will be out shortly . And RCL BBQ and Marque the expo is about The idea of the group, and the festival, is to assist residents of the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley region to understand more about sustainable living and how that can be applied to reducing day to day living costs and thus helping the environment. So, things like sustainable building methods, solar power, recycling, batteries, EV’s, etc. are all part of the festival, along with food, entertainment, school displays/competitions, etc. We have a guest speaker program running, trade expert displays, etc. Many of the local schools will be involved…. It’s very much a local community event that the Yarra Ranges council are backing us with. They’re heavily involved in helping us organize it all.
