Interplast – Mt. Hagen

Interplast is one of Australia and New Zealand’s best kept secrets

For over 30 years, Interplast has worked in 25 countries and implemented over 600 surgical and allied health medical program activities across the Asia Pacific region. We provide free reconstructive surgery for patients who would otherwise not be able to afford access to such services and we empower local medical personnel by building their capacity to act independently. We’ve supported over 70 surgeons and nurses to continue part of their training in Australia, sent over 600 volunteers on medical programs, provided over 37,000 consultations and performed over 21,000 life-changing operations.

More information on Interplast can be found at https://www.interplast.org.au/

SPEAKER – Len Brear

Len has been a member of the Rotary Club of Nunawading for 19 years, and has served on District 9810 Committees including ROMAC [ late 90′ – early 2000s], Ethics and recently was asked to be the District Chair of Interplast.
Prior to retirement last year, Len commenced practise as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1965,  and subsequently appointed  in 1989 as Magistrate, Coroner and a Tribunal member of the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal.
