Rotary Lilydale once again held its annual Primary Schools Speech Competition (PSSC) at Mt Evelyn Christion School (MECS) on Wednesday July 29th.
Sponsored by Bendigo Community Bank Mt Evelyn organized by Toastmaster International and the Rotary Club of Lilydale. This program gives grades 5 and 6 students the opportunity to develop their skills in public speaking and to think creatively.
This year 6 local schools participated.
Lilydale Primary School, Mt Evelyn Christian School, Bimbadeen Heights Primary School, St Patrick’s Catholic School, Manchester Primary School, Montrose, Primary School.
Toastmasters International provided a wide range of topics, and two students from each school delivered three-minute speeches that were judged accordingly.
First Liam Montrose Primary “Competitive Sports can Teach us about Life”
Second Ellis Mt Evelyn Christian School, “If I could talk to the Animals”
Third Maddison St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, “If I Could Travel Anywhere in the World”
Aaron Violi MP Federal Member for Casey presented each winner with a certificate and book voucher.
Congratulations to all students who participated as each participant obtained a high level of caliber.
