Vocational Activity – Visit to Yarra Ranges Museum – Indigenous Exhibition

For more than 40,000 years the unique landscape of the Yarra Ranges region has been a source of spiritual and physical power. Through a diverse display of items from our collection, learn more about this landscape, the industries that have been supported by it, and the people who have made it their home.

Weave between the giant trees and learn about the Corranderk Aboriginal Station, individuals including William Barak and Dame Nellie Melba, and the unsung heroes of everyday life in this region.

Lynette Nilaweera, Exhibitions Officer at Lilydale Museum, will give us a tour and lecture of the Museum’s permanent Indigenous exhibition.

Commencing 6.15 for a 6.30 start till 7.30.

 Small Fee  $3.00 per person.

Meeting Details

The Rotary Club of Lilydale currently meets bi-weekly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. We meet at York on Lilydale, start arriving from 6:30 pm for 7:00 pm start.

Enter the Function room via Carpark. In the foyer look out for RCL sandwich board.
