DISTRICT TRAINING ACTIVITY – DISTRICT ASSEMBLY
May 18, 2014 @ 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
Annual District Assembly conducted this year at
Parkdale Secondary College, Warren Rd, Mordialloc
Essential for newly joined Rotarians and 2014-15 Board Members
District Assembly 2014 is for EVERY Rotarian
Come along and shape Rotary the way you want it to be – be part of the change evolution!
There is no doubt that Rotary is evolving to meet the changing needs of our local and international communities, helped by rapid advances in social media – that allows us to better connect with our communities.
So much is happening, – it is safe to say, that if you don’t keep up, you will be left behind your fellow Rotarians who are inspired to take our organisation to the next level.
Much is happening through collaboration between clubs. Larger clubs are helping smaller clubs with projects and events. Clusters are now teams of Rotary Clubs.
If you and your team don’t attend, you are letting down your fellow Rotarians who need you to pull your weight for Rotary to grow even stronger in your municipality.
Experience shows that the Clubs that don’t attend Assembly are those that need the most support. If you are not there, your neighbouring clubs cannot help you.
Assembly is now about empowering clubs and Rotarians to be successful. Our District Leadership team is there to bring you the latest directions and guidance from Rotary International, – all you need to know to maximise your Rotary experience, but YOU are responsible for shaping the year ahead for your club and cluster. No boring lectures – your opportunity to interact with colleagues. The program includes:
DGE Tony Monley outlining Rotary International and District 9810 directions for 2014/15
District Committee (Avenues of Service) Chairs seeking your feedback on strategies, plans, activities and targets for 2014/15
Key Club Officer sessions on the latest tips and techniques for Club Secretaries, Treasurers and Membership Chairs
Interactive Cluster Club collaboration session including multi-club project opportunities, joint publicity and membership drives.
Identifying opportunities for smaller clubs to work with larger clubs – together we can achieve more. AND
The best muffins in Melbourne for morning tea.
D9810 Assembly will be held at Parkdale Secondary College, Warren Rd, Mordialloc on Sunday 18th May 2014. Registration commences at 8.00 am and sessions will conclude at 1.00 pm.
We strongly encourage you to be there.
