Club representation on the local ANZAC Centenary Committee, by Margi Sank and Thomas Dahmen, were instrumental in preparing the submission for our local Casey electorate to receive the first of many approved Federal Government grants to celebrate the centenary of ANZAC.

Tony Smith MP – Federal Member for Casey  – Media Release excerpt:
“The grant of $5,200.00 has been approved to help provide interpretative signage and a plaque at the site of a large Militia Camp at Lilydale [current Lillydale Lake] and the site of a mock battle at Coldstream.  The unveiling ceremonies surrounding these will also mark the start of the important centenary commemorations and raise the awareness of the extraordinary episode in our local history”.
