JULY 2014 NEWS

Michael Gavin Monthly Updates

July has been a busy month with [4] new members at changeover in late June, assimilating into the Club with various Committee roles being allocated.

The Club is to continue the Seafood Extravaganza Night, so ably co-ordinated by member Lynn Whelan when she was a member at Chirnside Park Rotary.

A successful Fellowship Function “Guess who is Coming to Dinner” was held, which was an ideal setting to get to know our newer members

Along with the presence of our just arrived inward Exchange student Andrea from Italy, plus Clare our local outward Exchange Student , this resulted in a very vibrant meeting.

As well as the above, there was a very special presentation by Diane Jochetz on behalf of her recently deceased husband and member of his time as a US helicopter pilot during his posting terms in Vietnam in the 1960s.   Diane’s presentation was very warmly received by all members and guests.
